Can't get the {Alt} key to work in open email in Outlook

When I manually type the {Alt} key in an open email, Outlook opens the shortcut menu at the top of my open email. When TypeItIn runs the same {Alt} key nothing happens. By the way, it is just the plane {Alt} key, nothing else with it to open the shortcuts menu. Please help. Thanks, Mark (using TypeItIn since 2000)

To only press the Alt key, use the Left Alt (LAlt} or Right Alt (RALT} function.

To press an Alt key combination like Alt-N use the (Alt n} function.
